SmartI&E is free to use as a consumer. Creditors, banks, insolvency trusties pay a small fee to download your report, should you share it with them.

There are always alternatives to insolvency and it will depend on your specific circumstances:

  • Payment plans or settlement with creditors
  • Transferring debt to lower interest rates or a consolidation loan
  • Credit counselling and a debt management plan
  • Consumer proposal

For Creditors & Businesses

Each I&E downloaded has a small cost and dependent on the level of the SMARTI&E and any specific annual agreement you may have.

Each Assessment includes a verified assessment for an individual and includes a summary and breakdown of their SMARTI&E.

There are 3 standards of SMARTI&E based on whether they used open banking or uploaded documents (pay slips, bank statements) to verify their affordability or simply uploaded a self-declared assessment with no supporting documentation. 

If an assessment for a consumer is older then 30 days the consumer can be nudged to update their SMARTI&E to ensure the data you are receiving is up to date.

This is entirely up to you and what works best for your business.   

Many of our clients choose to include a summary of our services and a link to our consumer log in page as part of your email, SMS or letter campaigns or displayed on your website.   

Agents can advise consumers on a call or via online chat and send a link from their desktop too.

However, if required we would be happy to contact your customers on your behalf to introduce ourselves and the services that we offer.

Users only see information to which they have access. That means, different users can only view, download, publish and/or print to where you grant access.

All personal data is stored encrypted and is hosted in secure compliant data centres in Canada. Independent security and penetration testing audits to ensure that personal information is always secure.

You can set your own password. Our default security policies enforce a secure password. You can also set login parameters such as length and complexity of passwords, and you can also determine how frequently your users need to reset their password.

You own and control the data shared with you by the consumers using the Consumer Portal. Any data recorded by your agents using the Creditor Portal/ CRM system also belongs to you.

We proactively monitor our systems for any vulnerabilities and unauthorised access attempts, thereby ensuring that your data is never at risk.

We will work with you to deliver data in the method you require which can include:

  • View online via your secure portal access
  • Receive the information into your system via API
  • Receiving the information into your SFTP
  • Receiving a secure email with the information

You can send a link to a consumer from your desktop portal

You can send a link in an email, sms, letter (QR code) or one that is advertised on your website.
